Problem Solver – Katherine is a problem solver. Let Katherine know the problems you are seeing and experiencing, and let’s discuss possible legislative solutions. She has a proven track record of not only achieving goals, but doing so quickly and creatively – she thinks “outside of the box” to address needs. In just four short years, she not only founded the Wisconsin Association of Free & Charitable Clinics (WAFCC), under Katherine's leadership, WAFCC became a national leader; states across the country are looking at Wisconsin and how our safety net clinics deliver high quality care to the uninsured and under-insured residents.
Fierce Advocate – Katherine is passionate and determined, she is known for not accepting “it can’t be done” as an answer. She has organized advocacy days at the capitol for safety net clinics and their patients & volunteer providers… she will be a fierce advocate for you and District 32.
Has Policy Experience – Katherine has testified to the Committee on Colleges and Universities about the healthcare gaps and why safety net clinics are so badly needed in Wisconsin. She has actively advocated for AJR52 - Joint Resolution making the first week of April Wisconsin’s Free & Charitable Clinic Week and AB598 – a bill to expand the Health Provider Loan Assistance Program.
