Delavan, WI - Dr. Katherine Gaulke, Democratic candidate for Wisconsin’s 32nd Assembly District, is proud to be endorsed by Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin.
Planned Parenthood provides crucial healthcare services for all Wisconsin residents, including cancer screenings, birth control, testing for sexually transmitted disease, mammograms, and referrals for prenatal care throughout Wisconsin.
Dr. Katherine Gaulke stated, “I’m pro-choice and advocate unequivocally for a woman’s right to make the best healthcare decisions for her body. I also strongly believe in the need to reduce abortions - which is not through escalating culture wars, but by reducing poverty. Studies show abortion rates are at an all-time low, though they remain highest among poor women who lack access to healthcare. We must protect healthcare coverage, in particular maternity care.”
She continued, “I share Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin’s concern regarding health disparities that disproportionately affect the Latino community, and look forward to voting for legislation that will fully fund Planned Parenthood to improve the quality of, and access to, culturally competent health care and education. I also look forward to working with the UW-Medical School residents to get the training they need at Planned Parenthood clinics, so the UW-Medical school can retain its national accreditation for OB-GYN training.”
Katherine continued, “As your voice in Madison, I will work hard to ensure that all District 32 receives badly needed healthcare resources, ensure protections for pre-existing conditions, and that everyone has affordable care.”
