Elkhorn, WI--Today the Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC) endorsed Dr. Katherine Gaulke for Wisconsin Assembly District 32. Katherine earned the endorsement of the state’s largest educators union because of her commitment to Wisconsin’s public school system and fighting for every child’s access to a quality education.
“The Wisconsin Education Association Council is proud to endorse Katherine Gaulke for Assembly District 32,” said WEAC President Ron Martin. “We know that Katherine will be a fierce advocate for our public schools in the Wisconsin Legislature. It’s time that all of Wisconsin’s students have someone like Katherine in their corner, fighting to ensure that every child has access to a quality education that ensures they can have the brightest future possible.” “I’m honored to receive WEAC’s endorsement. As a lifelong learner and higher education instructor, I’ve seen how good public education can transform a life and a community. Every child deserves access to a quality education that meets their unique learning styles, capabilities, and interests,” said Katherine Gaulke. “For the past eight years, Wisconsin’s public education system has suffered because of the failed leadership of folks in Madison. It’s time to elect a new voice to the Wisconsin Legislature that will fight to fully fund our public school system, address funding formulas that unfairly disadvantage districts like ours, and work to restore our schools back to the standards we were once known for."
